Sound Bytes!

     My Child's Adventure is currently working hard adding sound bytes to our first two storybooks! Can you imagine what Groovie sounds like? Don't get me wrong, silent movies are awesome, but even they have a soundtrack. The storybooks were crying for music! Cameo has answered that cry and is currently composing several songs. Joe and I (Desi) are recording a variety of sound effects to help amp up our sound effects.

     This may not be as momentous as Alexander Graham Bell's famous line(1) ""Mr Watson—Come here—I want to see you," but for us, it is pretty exciting!

Prehistoric Coloring Pages II

As promised, the art staff of 'My Childs Adventure' have provided another printable coloring page inspired by the release of 'Missing in the Museum' in february. This time it features an Ankylosaur, a favorite of site artist Desi.

The 'My Childs Adventure' staff have been abuzz about Dinosaurs since we released 'Missing in the Museum' in february. We were pretty excited to learn what had happened to that missing Pteradon, and we hope you were too! Ever since it's release the artists have been doodling some prehistoric pals on the margins of everything. We decided to redirect our energies to putting out some coloring pages featuring, what else, Dinosaurs!

          Finally the three of us at MyChildsAdventure.com (And Groovie) can all sigh in relief. Our sophmore effort 'Missing in the Museum' has been completed and is available for customization and purchase! We've all worked hard and are proud to present you with 'Missing in the Museum.'(MitM)

         This one is a simple tale of a young boy or girl heading with his mom or dad to the Big City Museum. Upon arriving they discover that a model pteradon has been misplaced. The curator, Dr. Art. E Fact, has requested that your child help locate the missing dinosaur. They follow the clue through several exhibits and the employee lounge until they discover the truth behind the missing Pteradon!

Launch Day! 

Well hello everybody! We are happy to announce the release of our website www.mychildsadventure.com. The site isn’t an amazing bastion of the hottest new technology on the web – because that’s not what we’re about. It’s fun, friendly, colorful and most importantly, it provides a much needed break from reality.

Join us now for a romp through the mud puddles of immaturity as we explore our first featured, customizable animated children’s storybook: The Big Hairy Hungry Scary Monster Under My Bed!
This first story features our mascot, Groovie Monster, and that special child you choose to give this charming treasure to! The story has several moral lessons and plenty of hidden animations to discover as you read. It talks about eating in your bedroom, not judging by appearances and that Mom’s are super – they can do anything including, but not limited to, dealing with monsters.

This book, as will be the others that follow, is an animated storybook built in flash. These books are designed to be shared at the computer and are interactive. (Explore the illustrations with your mouse to find secret animations and hidden snippets of text). This way, you can read the story time after time and there will always be something new for you and your child to look through. They are all written and illustrated by our two-sister design team and are customizable to include a child’s face and name so instead of just reading about other kids’ adventures they can have one of their very own.
